The Challenges

  • Responsiveness to Global crises: Svenska Freds needed to react quickly to international events like the war in Ukraine, and be able to launch tailored fundraising campaigns within hours.

  • Optimising limited resources: With a small team and a tight budget, the organisation had to find efficient and flexible solutions without relying on in-house developers or expensive web agencies.
  • Diversifying fundraising methods: By adopting new strategies, such as mobile donations via Swish and Peer to Peer fundraising campaigns, Svenska Freds expanded its fundraising channels and attracted new donors.

 

Conversion rates increased by 50%

When Svenska Freds revamped its donation process by adopting iRaiser’s online donation forms, there were initial concerns about the potential impact on conversion rates. Their worry was that moving the form away from the homepage and redirecting donors to a separate page might decrease conversions. 

However, after comparing data, they saw conversion rates rise by 10% to 50%, depending on the period.

Monthly donations up by 50%

The average value of recurring donations increased by 50%, and the number of new donors grew by 49%. 

This growth is partly due to the ease of signing up for monthly donations via bank card, mimicking the simplicity of online subscription models.

4,000 new members in one year

In 2022, Svenska Freds successfully recruited 4,000 new members, marking the largest membership growth in 30 years. This achievement was facilitated by the flexibility of iRaiser’s fundraising platform, enabling smooth management of sign-ups and effective awareness campaigns. A record 1,500 new memberships were secured in just one week!

Innovation in online fundraising and enhanced supporter engagement

By using iRaiser’s platform, Svenska Freds diversified its fundraising methods, ranging from traditional online donations to Peer to Peer fundraising campaigns, as well as offering merchandise, gift cards, and proposing “in-memory” donations. This versatility not only enhanced donor engagement but also allowed for the integration of popular mobile payment options in Sweden, such as Swish, enabling quick and intuitive donations via mobile phone.
